Winter has arrived. Snow over the cathedral and the city roofed by cloud between the mountains. Time to nest at the studio and to really get on with a series of works I'm developing on the theme of the forests that are so much a part of the landscape of the Auvergne.
In the meantime, I continue to exhibit at the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh. From 23 November, I'll be showing as part of their Edinburgh Environs exhibition, as well as making my usual contribution to their seasonal On a Small Scale postcard sale.
In May I showed with Les Arts en Balades, a large open studios and gallery event held in and around the city. I was lucky enough to be shortlisted for le Prix Coup de Coeur as part of this, with a joint exhibition for the shorlisted artists at le Centre Camille Claudel, a fine municipal gallery here in Clermont.
In September I also showed as part of Pignols'Arts, a truly wonderful village festival of art and music.
On the teaching front I continue, via Zoom, to teach my Wednesday night watercolour classes for the Edinburgh Drawing School. I'm also well into my first term with the Centre Camille Claudel.
Finally, I have been creating a set of step-by-step lessons to be shared on line. For further details, see the Courses page above. Should you be interested, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
